To our guests and visitors wishing to commune with us:
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper at Zion Lutheran Church is administered in accordance with the Holy Scriptures and our defense of these truths in the Lutheran Confessions. This celebration comes with the confidence we receive, along with the bread, Christ's true Body, and wine, Christ's true Blood, the continuing assurance and reality of the forgiveness of sins. All who commune at this altar make a confession of faith as taught in Scripture along with The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. If you are not a member in our Synod, we ask kindly that you speak with our Pastor before taking this Holy Sacrament. See Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 10:16-17; I Corinthians 11:23-29; Acts 2:42; Romans 16:17; Revelation 2:10 and Revelation 3:11.
All who are visiting from other congregations or have no church:
All are invited to come forward to the communion rail to receive a blessing. Please keep your hands folded or crossed on your chest so we may know how to serve you. God’s Word tells us that those who eat and drink our Lord’s body and blood in an unworthy manner do so to their great harm. If you are uncertain about whether or not you should partake of the Lord’s Supper today, please wait until you have spoken privately with the pastor.
